A welfareship needs a big governement, that does everything and gets involved everywhere. Thus, it becomes an "All-Doing Government".
An All-Doing Government has a cost that weights on the whole society. Just a few numbers: at the end of the fourth quarter of 2011, the public debt amounted to € 1.717 billion, i-e 85.8% of GDP, compare to 68.2% in 2008. The State’s debt reached € 1.335 billion; local administrations’ debt amounted to € 166.3 billion and € 205.4 billion for the Social Security.
